Honduran mahogany tilt-top tea table
 
					
									The carving challenges of making this tilt-top tea table were what attracted Paul to the piece. “It was my first attempt at architectural carving,” he said. But as he progressed, he said, he enjoyed making templates to build the top and the bird cage below it. “The top is one piece. Initially, I was thinking book-matched but I found a great source for a solid board.”
