As I commented earlier, this video series is among the best I've ever seen. One skill that Matt is teaching me is to develop a more discerning eye. When he first put that drawer into the case i thought to myself "perfect on the first try!" but his 2 or 3 additional tweaks really did make it perfect. Thanks.

I haven't seen the idea of no gap on bottom. I usually do a few passes with a shoulder plane to make the bottom gap equal. I may rethink that process now!!

Absolutely first class video along with Matt's knowledgeable comments makes this an invaluable series. Thanks

I'm sure there is a basic concept I am overlooking. What keeps the drawer centered in the opening so the reveal remains equal on both left and right sides?

Top shelf teaching. I really enjoy this series. Thanks Matt.

Matt is just such a good teacher... quite the craftsman... but a GREAT teacher. I was holding my breath... waiting for him to move his head so I could check "our" reveal! :-)

Great series! Matt is a natural teacher. As a 61 year old hobbyist woodworker who tinkered all his life with wood but now has a serious shop and is just beginning to learn handwork, I find this not only informative, but inspiring .
I think I watched this 4 times already.

    9. user-4880951 | Dec 11, 2019 03:55pm | #9

I know you are supposed to plane the end grain and risk tear out. I always prefer to use my edge sander. At the end of the draw making I don’t want to spoil everything.
Great video. Takes one up to the next stage.

With the side and center divider set you reference off of them for center. As you Fit the drawer, even the reveal leaving the sides proud to get a nice fit.

I have watched this series several times. It is a great reference source! I am preparing to start the drawers for the Garret Hack hunt board project so I just watched episodes 10-12. It helps me get my mind focused a bit sharper. Great information to have access to when I need it. Thanks

Probably the best video series ever produced by FWW. I continue to come back for nuggets of wisdom.
